How it works

One lesson, from the board to the parent's phone

The easiest way to understand PaathSpark is to follow a single lesson through a single school day. Here is Class 7 Science, Monday, period 3.

A Monday

Photosynthesis, start to finish

Timings are from our design sessions with teachers. The only work the teacher adds to their day is one photo and a few minutes of review.

Explain photosynthesis simply

Quiz 4 / 5

Practise tonight: what plants need, 10 minutes. Notes attached.

  1. 10:40

    Teacher

Finishes Class 7 Science, photosynthesis. Photographs the board before the bell. Forty seconds.

  2. 10:52

    PaathSpark

Files the capture under Class 7 · Science · Chapter 1 and drafts notes, two worked examples, a five-question quiz and eight practice questions.

  3. 13:10

    Teacher

Reads the draft over lunch. Changes one example to the one used in class. Approves. Assigns the practice as homework.

  4. 18:30

    Parent

Gets the evening summary: what was taught, with the approved notes attached.

  5. 19:40

    Student

Opens the lesson. Tries the quiz: 4 of 5. Asks the coach for a hint on the one that went wrong. Gets a hint, not the answer.

  6. 20:15

    Parent

Sees quiz 4 of 5 and a ten-minute suggestion: “what plants need”. Does it at the dinner table.

  7. Tuesday 10:30

    Teacher

Before period 3, sees that eight students missed question 4. Starts the lesson there.

The five steps

What happens at each step, and the rule it follows

Step 1 · Teacher · in class

Capture the lesson

After teaching, the teacher photographs the board, a textbook page or a worksheet, or attaches a PDF or their own notes. PaathSpark already knows the class, subject and timetable slot, so the lesson lands in the right chapter without any typing.

Capture takes under a minute. No special hardware, no smart panel.

What it covers

  • Classroom board
  • Textbook page
  • Worksheet
  • PDF or typed notes
  • Lesson audio (exploring)

Step 2 · PaathSpark · minutes later

AI drafts the study material

From that capture, PaathSpark writes lesson notes, simple explanations, worked examples, a short quiz and practice questions, at the level of the class and in the teacher's sequence. Nothing is pulled from a generic syllabus; it starts from what was actually taught today.

Every draft names the capture it came from, so the teacher can check it.

What it covers

  • Lesson notes
  • Simple explanations
  • Worked examples
  • Quiz
  • Practice questions

Step 3 · Teacher · a few minutes

Teacher reviews and approves

The teacher reads the draft, edits anything that is not how they would say it, removes what does not belong, and approves. Only then does it become visible to students and parents. A coordinator can review on a teacher's behalf if the school prefers.

The teacher's judgement is the gate. The AI never publishes on its own.

What it covers

  • Review
  • Edit
  • Reject
  • Approve and publish

Step 4 · Student · at home

Students revise with an AI coach

At home, the student opens today's lesson and asks the coach to explain it simply, give another example, ask five questions or help revise for tomorrow's test. The coach answers only from approved content, guides with hints before answers, and adjusts practice to the student's level.

Hints before answers. The coach helps the student think, not skip the thinking.

What a student can ask

  • “Explain this simply”
  • “Give me another example”
  • “Ask me 5 questions”
  • “Help me revise for tomorrow's test”

Step 5 · Parent · same evening

Parents see what was learned

The parent sees what the child learned today, how the quiz went, which topics are weak and what to practise at home. It is a learning summary, not a notification feed, so a parent who has ten minutes knows exactly what to do with them.

Progress in plain language, in the parent's preferred language.

What it covers

  • What the child learned
  • Quiz performance
  • Weak areas
  • What to practise at home

Set up for your school

Who approves is your decision

Approval is the step that makes the content the school's own, so the school decides who holds it.

Subject teacher approves

The default. The person who taught the lesson reviews the draft. Fastest, and keeps the teacher's voice.

Coordinator reviews

A head of department or academic coordinator reviews drafts for their subjects before they go out.

Two-step for new teachers

A teacher approves, then a coordinator confirms, for the first term or until the school is comfortable.

Per class, per subject

Mix the above as you like. A school can start the loop in two classes and leave the rest untouched.
