PaathSpark is operated by Javinex Technologies LLP ("Javinex", "we"). This policy explains what personal data we collect through this website and the PaathSpark service, why, and the choices you have. It is written to comply with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the rules made under it.
Who we are
Javinex Technologies LLP is a limited liability partnership registered in India, based in Bengaluru, Karnataka. For anything in this policy, write to sales@javinex.in with the subject "PaathSpark privacy request".
This website
When you request a demo or apply to the founding schools programme, we collect your name, role, school, city, board, school size, phone number, email address and anything you write in the message. We use it only to reply to you and to arrange the demo or pilot you asked for. We keep it for as long as the conversation is live and for two years afterwards, then delete it.
The website sets no advertising or tracking cookies. We use server logs and privacy-respecting, aggregate analytics to see which pages are read; they do not identify you.
The PaathSpark service
When a school uses PaathSpark, the school is the data fiduciary for its students', parents' and staff's data and Javinex processes that data on the school's instructions under a written agreement. In that role:
- What we process: the information a school needs to run itself (names, classes, timetables, attendance, marks, fee records, parent contact details) and what the learning loop needs (captured lessons, approved study material, students' answers and questions to the coach).
- Children's data: students are children. We process their data only with the school's verifiable parental consent, only to deliver the school's own service, and never for advertising, profiling for marketing, or tracking across other services.
- AI processing: captured lessons and students' questions are processed by AI models to draft study material and coach responses. The school's content and its students' data are not used to train public or shared AI models.
- Where it is stored: in data centres in India.
- Who can see it: the school's own authorised staff, the student and their parent for their own records, and Javinex staff only as needed to run and support the service. We do not sell data and we do not share it with third parties except service providers under contract (hosting, messaging, AI model providers) who may only use it to provide their service to us.
- How long: for as long as the school's agreement is in force. On termination the school can export its data, and we delete it within 90 days unless the law requires otherwise.
Your rights
You can ask us what personal data we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, withdraw consent where consent is the basis for processing, and nominate someone to exercise these rights on your behalf. For data held on behalf of a school, we will route your request to the school and help them answer it. Write to sales@javinex.in. If you are not satisfied with our response you may approach the Data Protection Board of India.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, access is role-based and logged, and we test the service for common vulnerabilities before each release. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your data we will inform you and the authorities as the law requires.
Changes
We will post any change to this policy here and update the date above. Material changes to how a school's data is processed are agreed with the school first.
